DO’s

 

þ  Follow this sequence while switching ON

      Monitor

þ  Follow the reverse sequence while switching OFF

þ                  Use Dust Covers on Systems when not in use.

 

þ                  Wipe Your PC using a damp(not wet) Dirt-free cloth.

 

þ                  Always Switch OFF the PC while Cleaning or Maintenance

 

 

DONT’s

 

 

ýAvoid experimenting with the System files.

 

ýDo not plug or unplug any connector in the system while the system is Powered ON.

 

ýDo not use aerosol sprays, solvents, or adhesives that might damage the unit's finish, or seep

inside the PC.

 

ýDo not switch OFF when M/C is running some applications.

 

ýFollow Correct Procedure for Shutting down the OS.

 

 

 

Monitor...

 

DO’s

 

 

þBe sure to leave Ventilation slots unobstructed because they allow the heat to escape.

 

þIf you choose to leave the Monitor ON all the time, remember to turn Down the Brightness of the Monitor when you are not using it.

 

þClean the Monitor screen in a regular basis with a clean cloth.

 

 

 

 

 

 

DONT’s

 

 

 

ýDon't leave anything, not even a piece of Paper on Top of the Monitor’s case.

 

ýDon't leave your Monitor ON for long periods, the image in the screen will get burnt in, and the screen may be permanently damaged.

 

ýDon't spray glass cleaner directly onto the screen. It could run down inside the case and damage the Printed Circuits.

 

Keyboard...

 

DO’s

 

 

þPress the keys in the Keyboard firmly, but gently, it is not  a Typewriter!.

 

þBanging on the Keys will reduce your Keyboard's life.

 

þPut a Dust Cover on Your Keyboard when it is not in use to keep it clean.

 

 

 

 

 

DONT’s

 

ýDo not Bang on the Keyboard.

 

ýDo not spill any liquid on your Keyboard.

 

ýYour Keyboard can be ruined by spilled Cold Drink, tea, coffee or anything that leaves a sticky residue.

 

ý Do not let any stapler pins, Paper Clips or any other particles inside your Keyboard.

 

 

 

 

 

Environment...

 

DO’s

 

 

þKeep the Power Conditioning Equipment at a reasonable distance from Your PC to avoid problems like “Display Shaking

 

þMake sure all AC outlets are in good condition and do not spark.

 

þThey should have Good Earth Connections.(Better to have Independent Connection)

 

þKeep the Machine and room as clean.

 

þGive proper ventilation for your PC.

 

 

DONT’s

 

 

ýThe site for placing your PC should be such that it should not be exposed to direct sunlight or rain.

 

ýDon't block any Fan Outlet or Vents.

 

 

ýDo not expose the system to Magnetic Substances.

•Operating Temperature of Your PC is 5° to 35 ° C

 

 

•Maintain the Room Temperature within the Specifications to avoid any Failures due to Heat.

 

Operating Voltage - 180 to 264 VAC

 

Transportation...

þHandle all units of your system carefully when moving them from one place to another.

 

þIf there is a need to Transport your HCL computer over a long Distance, repack the unit in its Original Packing.

 

 

Modem...

 

DO’s

þIt have been observed that during the change over of the power source i.e. from state electric owner to generator and vise versa, the earth neutral voltage shoots up. In some places it shoots up o as high as  50.0 volts. Though this fluctuation is for a fraction of second but is fatal enough for the VSAT modem. So it is advisable to switch off the VSAT during the change over of power.
