HOW TO CHECK YOUR TRANSFER RATE
STEP 1 :
a) Click Start button on the PC and select Run
b) Type ftp ftp.ren.nic.in in the window.
Connected to ftp.ren.nic.in.

In case the message "cic Login OK" does not
appear due to some spelling mistake in user name or password for eg. in case
spelling of cic or the password is typed incorrectly and you get a message
"Login incorrect" or "Login failed" type bye against
ftp> prompt and repeat steps a) and b) to connect again.
ftp> cd minerva
250 CWD command successful.
ftp> pwd
257 "/nicftp/home/cic/minerva" is current directory.
ftp> get iplugin.zip
200 Type set to A.
150 Opening ASCII mode data connection for minerva.zip ( 5956773 bytes).

STEP 2 :
1.Open your browser window and type http://www.download.com
2. Click on Web Developer>HTML Editors
3. Download the software HTML
Password Pro 3.1 Pro appearing under this link (File Size = 1.17 MB)
4. Specify the path on your local system where this file will be downloaded.
5. When the download starts a new window will open showing the progress of transfer and rate of transfer.
6. Please note down the rate of transfer which appears at the end of the transfer in Kbytes/sec .
This is your Rate of Transfer for Download.
STEP 3 :
1. Please go to URL http://cicserver.nic.in
2. Click on the link " Entry of Transfer Rate Information"
3. Login with your User Name and Password.
4. Select the link "Entry of Transfer Rate Information" and
enter the information in the table given there (cicserver)
by clicking on the "Submit" button.
The following table will appear there.
