Gram Atomic Mass ; Molecular Mass ; Calculation of percentage composition ; Mole Concept.

4. CLASSIFICATION OF ELEMENTS

Mandeleev’s periodic table; Modem periodic table,. Gradation of properties of elements in a period; Gradation of properties
in a group.

5. CHEMICAL REACTIONS

Chemical Change can be represented by chemical equation ; Balancing of Chemical Equations ; Calculations from Chemical Equations ; Types ofChemical Reactions; Slow and Fast Reactions.

6. ENERGY CHANGE OF CHEMICAL REACTIONS

Exothermic and endothermic reactions ; Bond Energy ; Food and Energy change; Energy transformations.

Elements may combine to form molecules : Inert Gas Configuration is stable; Valency and Chemical Bond; Electrovalent or Ionic Bond; Properties of Electrovalent Compounds; Covalent Bond;     Shapes of Convalent Molecules; Properties of Convalent Compounds ; Polar convalent Bond; Concept     of Co-ordinate Bond.

 2.        ELECTROCHEMISTRY

Oxidation and Reduction Reactions; Electrochemical Cells; Construction of an Electrochemical Cell; Electrochemical Series ; some Commercial Cells ; Metallic Corrosion ; Electrolysis ; Quantitative treatment of Electrolysis ; Electroplating.

    3.      METALS AND NON-METALS

Metals and Non-metals ; Minerals; Metallurgy ; Extraction of same common metals; Glass; Uses of non-metals.

 4.      CARBON AND ITS COMPOUND

Physical properties of Diamond and Graphite; Organic Compounds; Different structure of Methane; Isomers; Unsaturated Hydrocarbons; Petroleum and its products; Simple Compounds of Carbon; Hydrogen and Oxygen; Sources of Carbon Compound; Man made Materials; Synthetic Fibres; Plastics; Rubbers; Soaps and Detergents.

 5.      AIR AND ATMOSPHERE

Air; Atmosphere protects the living beings from harmful radiations; Functions of constituents of Air; Air pollution; Water constitutes a major part of living things; Water dissolves many substances; Hard and Soft water; Drinking Water; Solution.
