Economic planning.- needs,objectives, strategies, State's role in promoting
economic development - Fiscal Policy, Monetary
policy and physical control, Economic development under the Five Year Plans with
special reference to the latest Five Year Plans of
India and Manipur. The North Eastern Council.
(One project work is compulsory. Some models are given below)
i) To conduct a sample survey of the locality for. finding out relationship between income and size of the family.
ii) To conduct a survey of the small scale and cottage industries functioning in
the locality to find out the sources
ofraw materials supply and market for their product.
iii) To visit out the nearby marketing centre to study the fluctuations in prices over a period of time
iv) To find out the average size of holdings, techniques in farming and the scale of the products of the agriculture farms.
v) To conduct a survey of the locality to find out the working and non working population and the extent of unemployment.
