Establishment Year - June 5 , 1980, under the Manipur University Act , 1980 (Manipur Act
No.VIII of 1980).
Location - Canchipur
The University has the following three
Schools of Studies consisting of 22 Post -Graduate Departments including the
Manipur Institute of Management studies.
Disciplines And Minimum Qualification For Admission
The students other than Sc and ST students, must have secured at least
the following percentages of marks.
School of Sciences
45% marks in the Honours/Core/Major in the subject concerned or 50%
marks in the aggregate and 60% marks in the subject concerned in the
University Examination for candidate who do not have Honours/Core/Major.

B.Sc. (Three-year Degree Course) Examination or equivalent thereto
with Geology/Earth Sciences |
