Telahi Development Block Map:

                    Telahi,the biggest block in the district of Lakhimpur, an isotopic view of nature, rural area which covers 30,323 Hectors of geographical area containing 83 nos. of village with only the revenue circle belongs to district North Lakhimpur sub- division under Lakhimpur district of Assam. It has six Gaonpanchayat and one sub- police station. It is about 13 kilometers away from the Lakhimpur town. There are lack pf proper communication system to this block. The A.S.T.C. & public buses playing to Panigaon Sub-urban bus stop on K.B.Road. But the Block is about 3 K.M. away to East from Panigaon bus stop. The Visitors must go to block on feet or by their private car / scooters etc.

          It is bounded on the North by Lakhimpur block & on east by the west bank of the River Subanshiri and Dhakuwakhana Block. Majuli Sub-division of Jorhat District and Subanshiri river stands on the south and Nowboicha Block and the river Ranganadi on the west of it. The population of the Block is 51037 nos. as per census 1991. 26390 nos. and 24647 nos. are male and female population of total population respectively, which belongs 9020 nos. of SC and 19467 nos. of ST peoples.
