days,
the
Information

catalyst

socio-economic
development.
A
vital
need
has
been
felt
to
extend
the
reach
of
modern
day
technology
to
the
North-Eastern
region
in
order
to
enable
rapid
socio-economic
development
and
bring
the
region
closer
to
the
National
mainstream.

this
objectives
in
mind,
in
February
2002,
the
Hon’ble
Prime
Minister
of
India
Shri
Atal
Behari
Vajpayee
announced
a
plane
entitled
as
Community
Information
Centre(CIC)
for
the
establishment
of
IT
facilities
at
block
level
in
the
N-E
states
including
The
centre
located
in
a
High
School
campus
